On November 6, 2025, the list of finalists for the 10th “Cesim Elite’’ National Hospitality Simulation Competition was officially announced. Although this was the first year that the Tourism, Hospitality and Event Management (THEM) Programme of Beijing Normal-–Hong Kong Baptist University (BNBU) participated in the national competition, both participating teams delivered outstanding performances, advancing to the semifinals and the ultimately securing a place in the National Finals and a National Third Prize.

The semifinal results were based on two components: online simulation (70%) and case analysis (30%). These assessments evaluated students’ abilities in data-driven decision-making, cross-departmental collaboration, market insight, and risk anticipation. The “Tie Ren Si Xiang’’ team (Tang Xingzhou, Zhou Linran, Yu Qintian, and Yin Zhangzhe), and the “Gao Sheng’’ team (Liu Minhao, Zhang Buwei, Zhang Chengru, and Wang Zhiming,) placed second and third in their respective groups. According to the competition rule that only one team per institution may advance to the National Finals, the “Tie Ren Si Xiang Xiang’’ team will represent BNBU in the final round, while the “Gao Sheng’’ team earned a National Third Prize for its excellent performance.

This remarkable achievement reflects the students’ dedication, perseverance, and strong teamwork. It also demonstrates the expert mentoring of Dr. Cai Danting and the university’s sustained commitment to practical, skills-oriented education and innovation driven talent development. The results highlight the THEM programme’s strength in cultivating students’ creativity, analytical and problem-solving abilities, and leadership skills.
According to the competition schedule, the National Finals will be held from December 5 to 7, 2025 at Guilin Tourism University. The “Tie Ren Si Xiang’’ team will represent BNBU and compete against top university teams across the country in simulated operations, business presentations, and English team introductions, striving for the highest honor.
We wish the “Tie Ren Si Xiang’’ team great success in the National Finals, and look forward to seeing them showcase the extraordinary talent and professionalism of BNBU students!
