The Game Design (GD) program provides systematic training to equip students with comprehensive skills and resources for career development in the game industry and further study in related fields. Designed around students’ growth needs, it integrates industry-oriented practice covering core areas such as game production, computer graphics, animation and film production, as well as emerging fields including virtual reality, digital cultural heritage and game project management. It also offers interdisciplinary pathways that support advanced research in artificial intelligence, robotics, digital interactive education and other design and research disciplines.

1) Give students a solid foundation in the applications of game design through arts and technology, so as to strengthen their cognitive domain of this discipline in creative and entertainment industries;

2) Provide a broad-based and yet deep education and training in game design so as to enable them to apply in practical fields while integrating their knowledge and skills to various related professions;

3) Train students in problem-solving tactics through creative ways and skills for advancing game-related productions and solving professional issues;

4) Inspire students to take responsibility and contribute their creative vision and professional capabilities.
