From a young age, the starfruit tree at home became my lens for observing change. I tracked causes of its decay—birds pecking, plastic wrapping, and storage alongside apples—and incorporated these observations into a theoretical model to map the causal structure behind its rotting. This approach reveals that change is not a simple consequence of time passing on a clock, but the result of multiple, intertwined causal chains, encouraging a view of transformation as emerging from relational factors rather than linear temporal flow.
