This work presents a quantitative experimental study in the form of an academic research poster. It examines how ASMR-style whispering and danmaku, or real-time on-screen comments, may shape viewers’ experience of cultural videos. By manipulating the presence or absence of whispering cues and danmaku, the study explores their potential effects on memory, social presence, and engagement with cultural content. The current results focus on delayed recognition memory and suggest that cultural video content was generally well retained across viewing conditions. This work contributes to discussions on sensory and social design in digital cultural media, especially in relation to cultural object presentation and audience engagement.
