The lecture drew a large audience of students and faculty from the Music Department and other disciplines, creating an energetic and engaging atmosphere. Mr. Abussi, drawing on his extensive international recruitment and stage experience, gave in-depth advice on how to choose repertoire that best showcases individual strengths, manage performance anxiety, and project personal style on stage. His talk provided students with practical and actionable guidance.

During the Q&A session, students and faculty engaged with Mr. Abussi on topics such as musical aspirations, career choices, and stage preparation. The discussion was sincere, thought-provoking, and left participants with new perspectives. Many students commented that the lecture not only clarified the audition process but also broadened their vision for future development in music.

After the lecture, President Chen Zhi, representatives from the Admissions Office, as well as the Music Department Head and faculty members, exchanged further views with Mr. Abussi, focusing on teaching concepts and student development.

This event offered students a rare opportunity for face-to-face learning with a leading figure in international music education, and highlighted the Music Department’s commitment to fostering an internationalized learning environment.
